At Olympic Decks, we pride ourselves on tailoring each project to the unique vision and needs of our clients. For this beautiful residence in Federal Way, WA, the homeowner initially envisioned a ground-level deck with a staircase descending directly from the second floor. However, after evaluating various design possibilities and discussing the homeowner’s lifestyle and usage expectations, we agreed that a raised deck would provide the best fit and functionality for their space.
This raised deck not only enhances the backyard’s charm but also provides a smooth transition from the home’s interior to the outdoors, offering a great space for entertaining right outside the kitchen. The design includes wide steps that gracefully connect the deck to the garden, facilitating easy access and movement. We used high-quality composite materials for durability and ease of maintenance, ensuring the deck remains a focal point of the home for years to come.
Special attention was given to integrating the deck with the home’s existing architecture. The composite material’s color and style were chosen to complement the house’s siding, creating a cohesive look that feels both intentional and inviting.
